RE Curriculum
We believe in education in its broadest sense because it has the power to change and improve peoples’ lives.
At Marine Park Primary, we are committed to providing a comprehensive Religious Education (RE) curriculum that respects and explores a diversity of beliefs and practices. Our RE curriculum is designed in accordance with the guidelines provided by the South Tyneside Sacre, ensuring that our teaching meets regional standards and embraces a wide spectrum of religious and philosophical traditions. Our aim is to foster an environment of respect and understanding among our students, preparing them to be thoughtful members of our diverse society.
Our RE curriculum at Marine Park Primary encourages students to engage critically and thoughtfully with a range of religious and ethical issues. We provide opportunities for children to learn about and from religions and worldviews, promoting mutual respect and tolerance. Lessons are structured to provoke challenging questions about the meaning and purpose of life, beliefs about God, issues of right and wrong, and what it means to be human. We explore these themes through a variety of activities and discussions, helping each child to form their own understanding of the world around them.
We believe that parental involvement is crucial in enriching the learning experience, and we encourage parents to participate in various school activities related to the RE curriculum. Through assemblies, workshops, and classroom involvement, parents can engage with the material and contribute to the development of their child's understanding and appreciation of different global perspectives. At Marine Park Primary, we strive to create a supportive and inclusive community where everyone can learn from each other and grow together.
