Gladstone Award

Nancy Gladstone has been a great friend of Marine Park for longer than anyone of us at the school can remember. She has served the community as a local councillor and as a governor for Marine Park for over 20 years until 2006. Even as Nancy retired from her role as governor she still wanted to do something for the children of Marine Park. She did this by buying a magnificent shield which sits in the entrance to the school. Nancy asked the school to award this shield at the end of each academic year to an individual who had made a significant contribution to school life by way of behaviour, attitude, helpfulness, sporting ability or endeavour.
This is the third year that we have run this award and it gave us all great pleasure to present Adiba Baksh with the shield for 2009. Adiba receives an individual shield to keep and has her name engraved on the large shield for all to see. Well done Adiba - thoroughly deserved!
