What a fantastic week we had in Marine Park when Tom Mulholland came to visit with dozens of exciting science projects for our children to make, investigate and discover.

Year 3 went on a field trip to Trow Beach to learn more about rocks and erosion. They had a great time and found out lots of interesting things.
The children tested rocks for permeability, hardness and looked at all the different types. Their favourite rock was the conglomerate ones which are made up of lots of different rocks.

Year 4 – Centre for Life Trip
This term our Science topic was Solids, Liquids and Gases. We went to the Centre for Life to be real scientists for a morning! We wore lab coats and carried out some tricky experiments turning liquids into gases and solids into liquids! We used special equipment called a Bunsen burner to heat the liquid and watched it evaporate.
