Year 6 have been working with our creative partners, Paula and Malcolm, on the River Tyne project. We began by looking at our community and our sense of place - 'we are proud of where we live'. We then moved on to our links with the River Tyne and in particular the life cycle of the salmon. This has involved trips to Park Burn and Kielder to develop the sense of going on a journey. We are currently undertaking a role play exercise to improve our speaking and listening, which is all about protecting our local beach from development. We are all enjoying the project and the new experiences it offers.
